Cartoon Cutouts -Four teenagers and a Great Dane came on the scene in 1969, and the stars of Scooby-Doo have been solving mysteries ever since. The Scooby-Doo collection includes Shaggy, Fred, Velma, Daphne, and Scooby himself. Hanna-Barbera’s cartoon puts the teens and their talking dog Scooby against criminals masquerading as monsters and supernatural beings to commit their crimes. Cruising the countryside in the Mystery Machine, the groovy group provided the solution to what parent watchgroups perceived as too much violence in cartoons of the time. The teens searched for clues and suspects until unmasking the crook and sending him off to jail, thus solving the mystery of the week. The villains would have gotten away with it if it hadn’t been for those meddling kids!
